Trip Itinerary and Additional Information

1st Day: US - Night on board

Ready to discover the cultural treasures of Jordan? Arrive at your US departure airport to board a flight to Amman*. Night on board.

*If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

2nd Day: Amman

Touch down in Amman and transfer to your hotel*. Amman is the modern capital of Jordan but possesses dozens of ancient historical sites, set into the hillside in northern Jordan. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure. Dinner** and overnight stay in Amman.

*Possibility of booking early check-in in the next step of the booking process.
**Please note: If you arrive at the hotel after 9:00 p.m, dinner will not be included. Instead, you will have the option to reserve a cold packed dinner for an additional charge in the next step of the booking process.

3rd Day: Amman - Jerash - Ajloun Castle - Amman

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the day with a brief city tour of Amman. See both the new and old parts of the city on a panoramic bus ride. Continue to Jerash, known as the 'Pompeii of the East', a Greco-Roman city that is the best-preserved example of Roman-era ruins in Jordan. Explore the Temple of Artemis, Hadrian’s Arch, and the Roman Theatre.

Next, visit Ajloun Castle, a 12th-century fortress built by Saladin. Soak up the panoramic views of the Dead Sea from its hilltop vantage point. Return to Amman for an evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Amman.

4th Day: Amman - Desert Castles - Dead Sea - Amman

Breakfast at the hotel. Head east to explore the Desert Castles of Azraq, Kharanah, and Amra, built as retreats for Islamic caliphs in the 7th century. Afterward, visit the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, for free time to relax and float in its salty waters. Return to Amman for dinner and overnight stay.

5th Day: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Shobak Castle - Petra

After breakfast, visit Madaba to see the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land at St. George’s Church. Continue to Mount Nebo, believed to be where Moses saw the Promised Land, offering incredible views of the Jordan Valley. Explore Shobak Castle, a Crusader fortress dating back to 1115. Arrive in Petra and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Petra.

6th Day: Petra

Breakfast at the hotel. Discover Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Walk through the Siq and marvel at the famous Treasury, the Royal Tombs, and other significant monuments carved into the rock by the Nabateans. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Petra.

7th Day: Petra - Little Petra - Wadi Rum

After breakfast, visit Little Petra, an ancient Nabatean site with tombs and riverbeds similar to Petra, but quieter and more intimate. Continue to the Wadi Rum Desert, made famous by Lawrence of Arabia. Enjoy a thrilling 4x4 desert safari. Dinner under the stars and overnight at the camp in Wadi Rum.

9th Day: Amman - Cairo

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo, Egypt. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore the vibrant city of Cairo. Overnight stay in Cairo.

10th Day: Cairo

After breakfast, visit the Giza Pyramids, including the Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. Learn about ancient Egyptian history as you explore these wonders of the ancient world. The rest of the day is free, or opt for a Cairo by Night excursion with dinner and a show. Overnight stay in Cairo.

11th Day: Cairo - Luxor

Breakfast at the hotel. Fly to Luxor and embark on a 4-night Full-Board Nile Cruise. Visit the Karnak Temple Complex and the Luxor Temple, before returning to the cruise for dinner and overnight on board.

12th Day: Luxor - Edfu
